Repurpose Old Content

Posting regular content is key to building trust with search engines and your customers alike. A posting schedule is easier to stick to when you’re writing regular content. Meta tags are the HTML elements that search engines and visitors find your content. It’s what they can see in a search engine and thus, it’s important to add value in a limited number of characters. Users searching for your site on Google might not necessarily want to land on your homepage. Sitelinks on the SERP provide them with a direct link to other parts of your site which might be more relevant to them. Seed keywords are the foundation of your keyword research. They define your niche and help you identify your competitors.

More backlinks = Higher rankings

You should always Google keywords before committing to them.because it’ll help you to understand what—in Google’s eyes—is the best result for that particular keyword. If most of the results are vastly different to the content you’re trying to rank, it probably isn’t a great keyword to target. Google doesn ’t want a website owner to be able to artificially climb its SERPs. Rather, Google wants websites to climb the ranks only when they are genuinely valuable and popular with the audience. It wants to see natural, organic links that you haven’t paid for and it wants to see deep, relevant and interesting content. If you tried to optimize an article for a certain keyword, but it’s getting more traffic for a different variation of that keyword, then go back in and re-optimize it for the new keyword. There are various ranking factors that influence whether a website appears higher on the SERP based on the content relevance to the search term, or the quality of backlinks pointing to the page.

Horses for courses

SEO is not the techniques we use to get our sites to the top of Google. SEO is simply the objective of getting to the top of Google. Any technique you use to try and get more attention from Google could be considered SEO. A picture can be worth a thousand words, they say. Well, when it comes to online marketing, a single image can be worth a thousand links! The sites that Google will rank highest for a particular search term are the ones that appear the most relevant and that have the best content and best design. At the same time though, they will also be the ones that have the most trust. This means that Google considers them an authoritative resource and expects the information on their site to be accurate and well-written. Panda has ensured that publishing poor quality content to earn rankings simply isn't effective anymore. And Penguin ensures that traditional link building can be risky and dangerous to search engine visibility. Caffeine's Freshness update has obfuscated large swaths of keyword data used to measure SEO success.

Repurpose Old Content

In organic search, you don’t have to continually pay to be seen, and once you’ve reached the first page of Google (and you have quality content and a trustworthy site), you’ll often stick there for a long period of time (depending on the amount of competition). If you want to score the No. 1 position on Google, sit down with your teammates and brainstorm questions relevant to your brand, services or products. Link building is definitely one of the most important aspects of SEO strategy. But, finding good sites to comment on might be a daunting task. Gaz Hall, a UK based SEO Specialist, commented: "TD-IDF means that content should include different phrases and that some of those phrases should appear more frequently than others."

Wrap Subheadings in H2 Tags

The ability to measure the success of your SEO efforts is crucial. Tracking and managing your website’s data can be done through Google Analytics and Google Search Console. When we talk about visibility, we mean how high up the SERP your website appears for certain search terms in the ‘organic’ results. Organic results refer to those that appear naturally on the page, rather than in the paid-for sections. Community hijacking involves finding online communities that are made up of your target market, or people that can reach your target market so that you can build a relationship with them and get them to promote your content/brand/product(s). If you’re trying to build backlinks by pushing sponsored content, it has to explicitly say “Sponsored” on it.
