Embracing Humanness: My Two Cents Worth

If you experience resistance to the idea of surrendering, first of all—that's normal. The reason is they are rooted more deeply in the body. So just as you can get better at writing, speaking, or anything else by doing it, so too can you become more creative by taking the time to work on coming up with and using new ideas. As awareness harnesses the energy and power of the harmful urge, the two harmoniously blend into one, perhaps transcending and transforming opposing dualities from a fight into something akin to a dance. Researchers in the 1970s and 1980s carried out a small study involving forty-six patients recovering from gall bladder surgery in a Pennsylvania hospital.4 Half of those patients had rooms whose windows faced a natural scene, while the other half could only see a brick wall. If you need to change your agreement to yourself or someone else, that's totally okay, just be sure to get into communication and change your commitment. So while pharmaceutical companies are not without their massive flaws (particularly when it comes to psychiatric research, as it happens), their research on making pills look like theyll work better isnt quite as sinister as it seems. Words matter because you matter. However, if you're really struggling, make sure you double-check that there's really nothing you can do about the old topic. The more you commit yourself to being near people frequently and spending quality time together, the more likely you are to develop close friendships and, if you're looking for intimate love, a partnership. A stapler and a picture hook? But the heart is completely missing; nobody is called the heart. Headaches are due usually to stress and tension. Relaxa­tion is my control. I relax more deeply now. (Count backwards from 50-to-l). I am now more deeply relaxed. In this relaxed state, I am immune to headaches. Every time I relax and deepen my relaxation by counting backwards from 50-to-l, I get relief. Start practicing.
