Emotions And The Body: Personal Prejudices

Bliss powers each one of our trillions of cells to do their immensely  complex work of exchanging information, adapting to the environment,  responding to stimuli, digesting food and data, and keeping us alive.  But if you can rearrange  your life to allow yourself to more frequently experience those higher  states of love and other positive emotions, you can inoculate yourself  against chronic fight-or-flight response as surely as you can get  vaccinated against tuberculosis or the flu. Someone who has good  cardiovascular fitness has a lower resting heart rate and their heart  pumps with a healthier level of force, so the blood pressure is reduced  as compared to what it would be otherwise.   When we accept this truth,  we can then begin to focus on how to do the hard work in the most  effective way possible.   Enjoy, and still remember  that you are a mirror; you are reflecting the clouds and the trees and  the birds and the people. It hurts sliding down again, but even with rope burn, I keep pulling  myself up.   Note what is happening in your experience. Trepidation, harmony, stagnation, turmoil, stability, and bliss are the common  phases of this journey.   The session ended  with a heartfelt, solemn commitment to renounce further harm.   The road to success can  be rather long.   Not only had I been declared untouchable because of my ability to  make people laugh, they were also using a nickname, a sure-fire sign of  acceptance.   Well, first of  all, neither of us really knows if you'll actually end up sitting at  your desk, crying.
