This boss had alienated people and ultimately ruined his company, after the rock stars and the high performers on whom he depended all left because they simply wouldn't put up with his behavior anymore. You suddenly crave for carbs or your go-to comfort food. Your eyelids grow heavier by the minute. You yawn as frequently as when you need to take a nap. Step #2: Remember and comply with these dos and don'ts on dealing with energy vampires. Once you have confirmed that you are with an energy vampire, the ideal protective measure is to get away from them immediately, but without provoking them even further. However, there are cases wherein this is not entirely possible--for instance if he or she is a family member who lives in the same house as you. To save you from suffering, follow these tips on how to effectively deal with energy vampires. Take deep breaths for a few minutes to center yourself. Trust and listen to your intuition especially when it is signaling you of impending danger or harm. Stay level headed even if they are trying to bait you with incendiary remarks or questions. Where did I learn to doubt, fear, block, or distract in that I forgot who I am as my highest and best self? What is the reward in not progressing forward (as we all do what is rewarding, right? Keep asking questions until you have exhausted all the fabricated blocks and you remember who you are and the purpose you covenanted to do, therefore, how you know this is your call to make. You show up or you do not. You decide to be the healer you are called to be. Remember All That You Know as Who You Are - A Healer As I have referenced from the beginning, you know more than you know you know. It is the key to living your purpose. The forgetting what you know is one of the greatest obstacles in freeing your IS from the entanglements of self-deceit and second-guessing monologues dancing in your head.
Many lose sight of what they know as they mistake it for the knowledge they have learned through the years. Zolpidem (Ambien): I give 5 to 10 milligrams a night. You can use part sublingually if you wake in the middle of the night. Gabapentin (Neurontin): I give 100 to 600 milligrams. If not well tolerated, consider 50 to 300 milligrams of Lyrica (pregabalin) at bedtime. Doxylamine (Unisom) or diphenhydramine (Benadryl): I give 25 milligrams at night. The antihistamines may also help pain. Trazodone (Desyrel): I give 25 to 50 milligrams at bedtime. Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril): I give 5 milligrams, half to one tablet at bedtime. Other Medications for Sleep While this will get most people with CFS/FMS sleeping their eight hours, in some cases much more may be needed. So my client, having seen the trouble that went with a lack of praise and reward, overcompensated. He went too far in his attempt to avoid being the kind of boss who had so wounded him. He overpaid his staff. He didn't hold them to high standards in their work. He didn't correct them or change their compensation when they underperformed. His actions created a happy staff. Who wouldn't like such an arrangement? And he truly was a nice, caring boss. But his employees didn't pull together as a team, nor did they perform well.
When I saw all this, I helped him restructure his expectations, alter the company comp package, and change the corporate culture to insist on both high performance and high relationships. Pause and think of ways to escape from the situation. Use a neutral tone to communicate your discomfort and boundaries. Ignore what your inner voice is telling you. Label yourself as neurotic for being uncomfortable in their presence. Fight physically and/or verbally with the energy vampire. Binge-eat or drink to alleviate the side effects that you are feeling. Show signs of fear or submission. As an empath, you are not obliged to rehabilitate energy vampires. Leave that task to themselves and mental health professionals. What you should focus on is protecting yourself from them. But there is knowledge and then there is knowing. Knowledge is finite. It is information we gain as we grow and experience God's creations on this earth. It has a beginning and ending, a right and wrong, it's information that the brain can compute in the present time. Knowledge can change, and it does with new learnings, philosophies, and ages, but it remains finitely narrow, definite, and its purpose is to provide you with an understanding. But knowing has and will always exist. It is ever flowing where there is no time and space or matter to it. It infuses into our being without notice and always brings clarity and purpose with it. It is the knowing that blesses you with inspiration, deja vu, and gusts of creativity that knowledge cannot make sense of.
Again, rarely does the knowing gift us with the whole kit and kaboodle to run with; Then I keep in the treatments that helped somewhat, and add in the following one at a time: Clonazepam (Klonopin): 0. Tizanidine (Zanaflex): 4 milligrams, half to one tablet (Caution: Do not take while on the fluconazole [Diflucan] antifungal. Tricyclic or other antidepressants: I will only use one of the below at a time: Doxepin (Sinequan): 5 to 10 milligrams, one to three capsules at bedtime, or 10 mg/cc in liquid form. If a lower dose is needed, you can start with one to three drops at night. This is a powerful antihistamine. Some people get the greatest benefit with the least next-day sedation with a dose of less than 5 milligrams a night. Amitriptyline (Elavil): 10 milligrams, half to five tablets at bedtime. This may cause weight gain or dry mouth, and is especially good for people with nerve pain or vulvadynia (pelvic pain). Things were rocky for a while. Staff members now considered him unfair -- after all, they had known only an entitlement-producing boss. A couple of them left. But most of the staff understood that if the company was to survive, a new culture had to be put in place, one that expected performance. Those who stayed buckled down and started showing good attitudes. Because of these changes, the business started flourishing. Don't get caught in the praise for the minimum trap! You are just awesome! Keep in mind, however, that energy vampires are people who deserve your understanding and compassion too. Though you would have to set boundaries between you and them, always try to remain polite and respectful to avoid hurting them unnecessarily. Methods to Fight Negative Energy Empaths who have just recently recognized their special gifts for what they really tend to ask this question: how can an empath fight off the negative energy and vibes from the people around them? The naive answer to this is by attempting to turn yourself into this paragon of happiness and optimism. There is more to this question than a simple idealized version of what an empath should be. If you believe that you are an empath, you need to learn how to properly and adequately defend yourself since the other options are neither healthy nor tempting. Another way to discern between the two is knowledge is from the outside-in and knowing is felt inside-out. You have control of the amount of knowledge you choose to learn and absorb. Some of us may have to apply more diligence to learn than others yet we have the choice to do so or not. With today's artificial intelligence, we are bombarded with knowledge coming from more facets than we can manage. There is no shortage of information. Knowing comes when we need it and cannot be controlled by our finite choices. We may choose to act on it, but we cannot choose to know what we know without being in alignment to use it. It is my belief that if you are drawn to this article, it is because of what you know. You are struggling with the doubts of your calling because you lack the knowledge that you hope will assure you that you are a healer after all.
