Is chocolate on the safe list?

It became her mission. Sharon was convinced that she knew why the counselors were so demoralized and she came up with a program to reconnect them with their enthusiasm for helping and teach them how to support and help one another. Writing out her ideas in the evenings and weekends, Sharon soon had a workshop proposal that she submitted to the state guidance counselor association. They were impressed with her idea and gave her the endorsement necessary for offering continuing education credits. Your future is a worthy investment. Wherever you want to learn, grow, or gain success, seeking guidance from an expert can simplify and expedite your process. Learning from someone else's gains, losses, and lessons can save you a lot of time, energy, money, and stress in the long run. Plus, connecting with someone who will hold you accountable to your goals and priorities ensures that you stay focused and moving in the right direction. Contemplate today's reflection questions. Let your answer to the last question determine your next steps. What kind of guidance aligns with your goals, values, and priorities (eg, business consulting, life coaching, relationship counseling, financial advice, etc)? Whose mentorship might you benefit from? What time, energy, and financial investment would this require you to make? Do you think this investment is worth the guidance you will receive? Beliefs are the determinant of what you experience. There are no external causes. You discover the secret payoffs that are obtained from unconscious secret projections. Your underlying programs can be discovered by simply writing down your litany of grievances and woes and then merely turning them around into their opposites. People hate me stems from your own inner hatreds. People don't care about me stems from your narcissistic absorption with your own happiness and your personal gain, instead of that of others.

I don't get enough love stems from not giving love to others. People are rude to me stems from lack of cordiality to others. People are jealous of me arises from inner jealousy of others. Thus, if you take responsibility for being the author of your world, you come close to its source, where you can correct it. Sharon was on her way toward a new consulting and training career. Sharon had carved out a load of new problems for her life. Planning the workshop was one thing, but designing a catchy brochure and getting it out to a statewide system of schools was time consuming. But perhaps the hardest step came when she had to reserve the hotel conference room for the workshop three months in advance with a non-refundable deposit. Sharon had to put her own money down, not knowing if anyone would show up. This was unlike anything that she had ever done before, but she knew that without some experience in giving a real training workshop, her new career as consultant would never get off the ground. She also had to plan the workshop's group activities not knowing if there would be ten or two hundred attendees, plan a luncheon at the hotel, and generate publicity. Sharon now had a full crop of new problems. What was it like for her? She was scared, full of self-doubt, and regularly woke up at three o'clock in the morning to worry. Why or why not? Create a process Most people have their eyes on the prize, but they get stuck on how to attain it. Identifying the steps of your how (and knowing them inside-out) helps you approach your work with clarity and purpose. This approach leads you to the results you want to see--in work and in life. Start with one result you want to see in your work or workday.

Identify your target, then determine the change(s) you'll need to make. What steps will you need to take to actualize these changes? For instance, if you want to get your email inbox to zero by Friday at 5 p. Here are some suggestions of steps you might include in that process: By being loving toward others, you discover that you are surrounded by love and lovingness. When you unreservedly support life without expecting gain, life supports you in return. When you abandon gain as a motive, life responds with unexpected generosity. When you perceive in this way, the miraculous begins to appear in your life. Harmony manifests as the unexpected discovery, the fortuitous coincidence, and the lucky break, and finally the realization occurs that these are the ripples coming back to you from the seat of consciousness. Q: What if one is presuming to live at the level beyond what one really is? A: In addition to the ego/mind's presumption that it knows something because it has heard about it (reading a article on golf does not make one an expert golfer), there is the error of mixing levels of truth or abstraction. Sometimes spiritual students have a picture in mind of what higher states look like, and then the ego attempts to produce or perform it. That is very different from actually being it. The apparent realities of a specific level of consciousness are not necessarily those of another level, as is indicated by the numerical designations of the calibrated levels of consciousness. Did she want to stop? No, because she knew this was the only way to get going in the right direction and she was willing to put up with short-term anxiety in favor of a long-term goal. It turned out that despite the two thousand brochures that Sharon mailed out, only nineteen people attended the two-day workshop. Then, incredibly, the hotel where the workshop was being held caught fire the first evening and workshop participants staying at the hotel were evacuated until twelve o'clock that night. Nevertheless, the workshop went on the next day and Sharon still got what she had needed: experience in writing, organizing, advertising, and giving a bona fide two-day workshop. She had taken the necessary first step in her new consultant's career.

Did Sharon have to do any of this? She deliberately picked a bunch of new problems to solve for herself and got plenty of unexpected ones as well. However, she was moving in the direction of her dream and all those problems added up to another notch on her resume. Shortly after the workshop, with her new experience, Sharon successfully pursued an opportunity to give a speech at the national conference of professional guidance counselors. Organize emails into categorized folders based on daily themes, projects, or tasks. Avoid lingering messages by turning them into to-do list tasks or calendar appointments. Unsubscribe from unnecessary lists and set up a separate email account for subscriptions. MINDFUL TIP : Make your process specific and actionable so you can reach your target, and ensure that it is simple enough to start today. What results do you want to see in your work or workday? What process did you create today to lead you closer to those results? Which other areas of your life would benefit from a simple, purposeful process? Track your money By this point, you've gained clarity on where and how you want to invest your time and energy. As an example, a person might quote the well-known saying of Ramana Maharshi that there is no point in trying to save the world, because the world one sees does not even exist. That is the truth and experiential reality of consciousness calibration level 720, but it's not the experiential reality of consciousness levels below it. It's best to simply be as you are and be true to the reality that is experientially valid and true at your level of development. Each level also has its concordant capacities as well as its limitations, which are quite different. For example, perhaps Ramana Maharshi could safely walk across a busy highway with his eyes shut, but that is unlikely to be the experience of the average person, who is probably not able to imitate the same behavior without getting run over! Q: Does spiritual work help the world?

A: To endeavor to evolve spiritually is the greatest gift you can give. It actually uplifts all humankind from within because of the nature of power itself. Power radiates and is shared, whereas force is limited, self-defeating, and evanescent. All society is subliminally and subtly influenced by every kind and loving thought, word, or deed. The prestige and exposure this gave her soon resulted in invitations to run other workshops - for pay. Sharon had picked the problems to solve that were going to help her realize her mission: to become a consultant and to help burned-out counselors who so badly needed her encouragement. Sharon looked at her old problems of being demoralized and tired of her job and then she looked at her new problems. She now had proof that when she tackled the new problems, she ended up stronger. Sharon is now dealing with solving problems she wants to solve, and that makes all the difference in how she feels about herself. Your Relationship with Your Problems As soon as a problem shows up at your front door, you have a relationship with it. Like any relationship, it is full of feelings and bias. The kind of relationship you decide to forge with your problem will determine the outcome, just as it would with another person. The one option you do not have is wishing the problem away. Now is a key time to check whether your financial investments reflect your intentions. Do you put your money where your mouth--or heart--is? Your financial investments shape your mindset, choices, and lifestyle; Create a spreadsheet or use a budgeting app to track your spending. Start by plugging in what's consistent--for example, your income and regular expenses. As you go about your day, track your expenditures (eg, fuel, groceries, online courses, coaching, eating out, leisure activities, etc) to gain a better understanding of the investments you're making.
