But those that require you to work beyond what is simple and convenient are the activities with the most effective. It might not be necessary to play endless rounds of solitaire and watch the new History Channel documentary marathon. Better choices are learning a foreign language, volunteering, and other things that strain the brain. Older individuals appear to have more trouble concentrating than young individuals. That's another illusion, because change requires time, and there is no time in Reality. Those are all mentalizations. If I ask a rabbit, What time is it? Time is a mentalization that the ego projects onto experience. Evolution as a linear sequence in time is a mentalization. It's not time or sequence or change that you see in Reality but rather the continuous emergence of potentiality becoming an actuality. The great barrier to Enlightenment to people who have been everywhere, done everything, and heard everyone is the principle of causality, the explanation that all things have a linear cause and sequence, that there is a this causing a that. So long as you believe there's a this causing a that, then you have perpetrator and victim, ego and spirit, self and Self, and then you're stuck. The principle of causality calibrates about 460, same as Darwin's theory of evolution. The typical audiences at Veritas lectures calibrate around 420, so 460 sounds erudite to them, but from a level of 550 and higher, it sounds ridiculous! There's nothing to look forward to. I feel like I have no goals. I'm floating, out of focus. I just don't know my mind anymore, I feel like letting go and forgetting it. I just don't care. At that moment Linda felt like this hopelessness was going to go on forever.
She genuinely could not imagine she would ever feel happy again. I sympathized but reminded her that these negative feelings only meant that she was in a slump, triggered by something that reminded her of the past, and that it was not a statement about her future. We should always be suspicious of our feelings of depression and hopelessness! Even though they feel emotionally convincing, they cannot predict we are going to be miserable for the rest of our lives. This is because changes in the brain associated with age make it more difficult to filter out stimuli that are not important to the task at hand. Practicing mindfulness; The odd senior moment is encountered by most adults as they age. Although these memory drops can be humiliating and frustrating, conditions like Alzheimer's disease or some type of dementia are not necessarily a warning sign. Still, incorporating these lifestyle habits and techniques can help people retain and recall details for various forms of daily forgetfulness and navigate memory lapses as they occur. Music has wonderful effects on the brain, simultaneously engaging various parts of the brain. It has been shown to be capable of changing mood and even enhancing memory. Musical memories are located in the same section of the brain as memories of activities, like riding a bike or cycle. This may explain why people with Alzheimer's problem, when other memories have faded, are still able to remember how to play an instrument. Meditation will enable you to identify mental errors. The highest truth is that all comes into existence by virtue of the Presence of Divinity. Nothing else has within it the power to create its own existence. Genesis (cal. Life comes from the spontaneous evolution of the Godhead. Everything emerges spontaneously from potentiality to actuality by virtue of the Infinite Power of the Presence of God. What seems to the mind to be sequential and causal is not happening in a sequential, causal way at all.
You and I in this moment are spontaneously being what we are in the Infinite Field. Q: If the world is emerging by virtue of the Presence of God, whose nature is said to be Love, then why do bad things happen to good people? A: Good or bad is your perception. Adversity can actually be seen as a gift. They can only remind us of how bad our lives were in the past. When I point this out to people, they are always doubtful because they don't remember feeling that badly as children. I tell them they could not afford to be consciously aware in childhood of these awful, intense feelings, or else they might not have had the energy to grow up. As children, we push these painful feelings down into our subconscious minds, but they resurface in adulthood when our inner self senses that we have grown up enough to handle them. When it is finally safe enough to clean out the painful old feelings, we can restart our growth process. A number of my clients have been perplexed when they feel depressed or have flashbacks of childhood mistreatment just when things in their life seem to be getting better. The reason these feelings crop up is because when one is finally in a safe harbor - whether it's a relationship, situation, or state of mind - one can compassionately accommodate and work through those bad memories. When Linda experienced depressive episodes, she lost perspective and the resurgence of old feelings made her think that reality was hopeless. My job was to remind her that the feelings were nothing more than bad memories - reenactments of the despair she had suffered in childhood every time her parents controlled and misdirected her. Linda's Solutions According to a recent report, meditating for 20 minutes will help people identify mental errors and maybe prevent them in the future. It has not been proven to protect against memory loss by participating in brain games, like crosswords, bridge, and chess, as well as artistic outlets, such as drawing, playing an instrument, or learning a language. Yet, these pursuits can assist with daily thought abilities and can improve the cognitive reserve of an individual when combined with physical exercise. The regular exercise starts to add up to significant improvements in memory. A single round of moderate-intensity exercise can actually boost memory, but people need to work out on a routine basis and at a similar degree of intensity in order for the impact to last. H uman brains are about 3 times the size of our early ancestors, who lived four million to two million years ago, and scientists have been wondering for years how our brains got so large.
Recent research indicates that there may be social competition behind the rise in brain size. We have to commit to memory for us to remember events, information, or procedures. Encoding, preserving, maintaining, and eventually remembering information and past experiences are part of the process of creating a memory. Memory has been characterized by cognitive psychologist Margaret W. Many cancer survivors will tell you, It's the best thing that ever happened to me. Divinity is omniscient and you are not. Your perception is not Reality. What you perceive as unfair might just be the means of liberation. What you're wanting to know is whether there is intrinsic justice in the world and whether happenings in the world emerge justly and fairly. Yes, they do. Human life is karmically fair, completely and totally. Everyone is steering their own canoe. As Love is the Ultimate Law of the Universe (statement calibrates at 750), each person is born into the circumstances of maximal spiritual benefit. For something to be unfair, the universe would have to be accidental or capricious. Later Linda was able to visit with her parents without getting triggered into hopelessness and helplessness. She learned to be ready for them, anticipating their regressive effect and not blaming herself when she felt discouraged. She also wore her freedom fetishes when she went home, unobtrusive little articles of jewelry and clothing that had special symbolic meaning to her about reclaiming her artistic self. Her parents no longer had the power to permanently separate Linda's true being from herself. As Linda paid closer attention to her level of interest and energy in any given moment, she realized that her real motivation had flowed toward creating art and pursuing many forms of learning. Now it made sense to her why she had changed her major so many times: one field could never satisfy her broad appetite for knowledge and new experiences.
She learned that for her, mastery of a skill or topic was meant to stir up the urge to move on to the next challenge. Linda was never going to be happy doing routine things every day. As she began to accept this about herself, Linda's artwork proliferated and flourished in a multitude of different forms. One day she told me that all of her pieces had sold at the boutique where she had placed them on consignment. Matlin as the process of storing knowledge over time. Others have identified it as the ability to decide our future direction by using our past experiences. Most people think of preparing for an exam or remembering where we placed the car keys when they are asked to describe the memory. In our daily lives, however, memory is important. Without depending upon our memories, we will not be able to act in the present or step forward. Memory is the mechanism of taking in, processing, storing, and later remembering information about the world around us, often several years later. Human memory is frequently compared to that of a filing cabinet or a computer memory device. In reality, however, memory is far from perfect-most people cannot recall every single event that happened to them, and memories are sometimes altered and can be distorted. Memory is not just one thing- there are multiple forms of memory, such as: remembering the meaning of single words, world information, and abilities such as how to ride a cycle or how to play an instrument, and a complex form of memory that helps us to remember and even 'relieve' personal experiences or episodes from our history. Our personal history or autobiography forms this latter type of memory, which is why it is known as autobiographical memory. Nothing is accidental and Divinity is not capricious. The nonlinear domain of Infinite Power throughout all time, Divinity, is like an electromagnetic field of infinite dimension and infinite in power, within which little iron filings automatically line up according to their charge. Everything that has existence karmically has a polarity, a charge. Everything within the domain of Divinity is aligned within the field according to its own karmic inheritance; No iron filing can be anywhere else than it is. The Presence of God is an Infinite Power without parts, positions, movements;
