When a physical empath walks into a room of people and immediately gets a headache, chances are somebody else in that room has a headache as well. This is why it is important for a physical empath to learn how to control their abilities because feeling other people's ailments can be debilitating. The physical empath will be able to notice the symptoms in other people and may feel these symptoms within their self. When they do take on these physical symptoms, this could cause real health problems. People who find that they suffer from illnesses like an autoimmune disorder or fibromyalgia may find that strengthening their energy field can help them so that they know when to turn off their abilities. When fear comes, we freeze. Not unlike a lizard in the face of danger, we are paralyzed, waiting for it to pass. As our body grows and becomes mobile, we gain language to explain our affect in conjunction with the development of the emotional brain. With this comes the ability to fight and flee for survival. In the face of fear, we can run toward it or away, depending on which will get us to safety, with the least negative fallout. The last to develop is our pre-frontal cortex where we rationalize what is what. This takes us to a new level of functioning, in which we can discern if the danger is real or not, then manage our emotions, understand the situation, and swiftly navigate to take us where we need to go to be safe.
